Policy for Claiming Your Cashback Reward for Renting in Specially Designated Buildings
- You must sign a lease for an apartment in one of the specially marked buildings, or with a specially marked landlord, on the RDNY.com website.
- Only apartments from specially designated landlords and/or buildings are eligible. Not every apartment listed on RDNY.com has a cashback reward.
- The landlord must verify that you signed a valid lease, and corroborate that you heard about the apartment through RDNY.com, before we can process your request.
- You must tell the landlord that you saw information about them, the building, and/or the apartment on RDNY.com. This helps us to verify the use of RDNY.com to find the property.
- When calling the landlord, tell them you saw them on RDNY.com.
- When visiting the landlord and/or the actual building, tell the leasing agent(s) that you found their building(s) on RDNY.com.
- You should indicate RDNY.com as your referral source on any guest cards, pre-registration forms, application and any other paper or electronic documentation.
- Do not, under any circumstances, go to the landlord's office or building with a Real Estate Agent or Broker. This will void your eligibility to receive a cashback reward.
- You must have had either a guest member (free) or paid member account on the RDNY.com website prior to visiting the property, and within the 90 days prior to the lease signing.
- You must provide RDNY.com with the name, phone number, email address, PIN number and/or any other information requested for the person(s) listed on the RDNY.com account. RDNY.com must be able to verify that you and/or your roommate(s)/immediate family member(s) had an account on our website within the designated time frame.
- You do not have to have upgraded to a paid account to receive a cashback reward. Guest member (non-paying) accounts are eligible, as long as they meet all the requirements in this agreement.
- Current or former employees of the landlord are not eligible.
- Current or former tenants of the landlord are not eligible.
- Only one (1) cashback reward per eligible apartment is permitted. If more than one tenant in the apartment had an RDNY.com account, requests will be processed in the order received, and only the first request that meets all eligibility and verification requirements will receive a cashback reward.
- You must submit your request for a cashback reward either online via the designated link on the RDNY.com homepage, or in person in our office.
- All requests must be submitted within 30 days of signing the lease.
- You may be asked to provide supporting documentation (copy of a signed lease, for example). At the lease signing, ask for a copy of the lease with your signature, even if the landlord is going to countersign and return a copy to you at a later date.
- Supporting documentation (if requested) can be faxed to RDNY.com, mailed to our office, or dropped off in our office.
- Your cashback reward will be paid to you as quickly as possible, subject to the landlord verifying your lease, verifying your information, and the landlord paying us our advertising fee. In most cases, this will take much less than 60 days, but it may take longer. We will communicate with you if the delay is longer than 60 days.
- The amount of the cashback reward may vary by unit, by building, or by landlord, and will range from $100 to $500. The amount will appear on the RDNY.com website in association with the unit, building, or landlord. While RDNY.com will strive for accuracy, you agree to hold RDNY.com harmless for any misprints, typos, or inaccuracies.
- You will be mailed a check to the address of the apartment listed on your signed lease. Cash will not be given to you.
